Amy Amy Janet JanetAubrey Plaza is a comedian and performer born in June 1984. Her witty sense of humor has earned her the respect of many a choice for comedy. She is the character April Ludgate on "Parks and Recreation." After doing sketches and improv in the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, Plaza created her first web series debut with "The Jeannie Tate Show." She went on to appear in Judd Apatow's "Funny People" as well as "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" later in her career. Today is her birthday. Aubrey Christina Plaza was born in Wilmington, Delaware, the daughter of attorney Bernadette Plaza and financial specialist David Plaza. Both her parents are both Irish-English. Plaza was a graduate of a Catholic all-girls high school in 2002. She then attended the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2006. The president was of her high school's student council and also participated in Wilmington Drama League productions during her senior year. Plaza was struck by a stroke in 2004 while she was in her 2nd year of her university career. She developed expressive aphasia and suffered an ephemeral period of involuntary paralysis. She has since fully recovering.
